The Disables
The Disables

Stage 4

5:00:00 PM - 5:30:00 PM

Brisbane's Disables have captured the seemingly forgotten art of delivering classic anthemic punk rock in what can simply be described as an ethanol fueled frenetic live show. They have been playing together since early 2000 and in that time they have developed a solid following. Their shows are crowded with both, old school punkers who saw the first revolution and the new breed, some of whom are second generation punk rockers and politically savvy activists.

In addition to heading up their own extravaganzas and touring the eastern seaboard of Australia relentlessly, the band has also played supports for The Dropkick Murphy's, The Hives, US Bombs, Unwritten Law, Anti Flag, Tiger Army and The Explosion. They have also been invited to tour with the Livid Festival, The Vans Warped Tour and played the Big Day Out.

"NUTHIN FOR NO ONE" is their debut album and debut release for Sydney label Resist Records. Recorded at Black Box Studios in Brisbane with the somewhat infamous (Reverend) Jeff Lovejoy. The recording process was completed over a nine month period interspersed with tours, arguments and cash-flow crises. The end result is something the band and the Reverend are extremely happy with.

The Disables " Nuthin for no one" CD instores now.
