With a bottom heavy rhythm section powering behind hook-laden guitar riffs,
catchy vocal melodies and HUGE choruses, this is a band who is constantly
writing and evolving and will gratify fans of Alice in Chains, Tool and
AC/DC alike with their original blend of new sounds and old-school rock
sensibilities. On stage Lump deliver an intense and amped live experience
and this is where they are most at home.
Their set at 2005's Gold Coast Big Day Out showcased Lumps' talents to a
massive hometown crowd defining the band as a must-see for future
performances, whilst ensuring the growth of their ever-supportive fan base.
Their debut EP "Here I Am" released in June 2004 hit No.5 on the AIR Charts,
and has sold out of its first pressing. The EP was an excellent introduction
to a band that could very well be the next big thing in Aussie rock, with a
line-up boasting ex-members of legendary acts Tower, The Poor, Black Seed &
High Speed Reason.
Following Lumps' win late last year of the Australian series of World Battle
of the Bands 2004, the "Here I Am" EP jumped back into the AIR charts at
#12, and Lump headed off to compete at the World Final in Auckland with
solid NZ airplay continuing since their return.
The bands' debut long-player "Paper Skin", recorded at Loose Stone Studios,
is out now through Ward69 Records/MGM. The first radio track & video for
"We Wait For No-one" is now doing the rounds. The band recently triumphewd
at the massive Taste of Chaos tour.
"Lump's indestructible and intense sound is sure to get them places. Be sure
